Some quick Steam Updates... Santa Fe #3751 has cancelled September and October Mainline Excursions in California. These trips were announced as "Tentative" but I sure was looking forward to them. The #3751 is one of my favorite mainline locomotives, hoping we get to see her run on the mainline again soon. Pikes Peak Cog Railway in Colorado, will be operating Steam for their 125th Anniversary on June 30th, 2016. The press release seems to indicate Steam may also run on August 25th, September 8th, and October 6th. Check www.CogRailway.com for more info. Durango & Silverton in Colorado, is hosting a newly revamped Rail festival in August called "RailRocker Festival." The festival features double-header steam specials, and other events. I am most excited to hear about special trains pulled by steam locomotive #315, owned and maintained by the Durango Railroad Historical Society. This locomotive is rare to see operate.
