Tickets are now on Sale for a rare Mainline Excursion behind Southern Pacific #4449, the Daylight. A 4-8-4 Streamlined Steam Locomotive based in Portland, Oregon. This locomotive last pulled a mainline excursion in 2012, so this is a very rare opportunity to ride behind this iconic steam locomotive as she operates at mainline speeds through the breathtaking scenery of the Columbia River Gorge and Deschutes River Canyon.

This 2-day Excursion departs Portland Oregon on June 24, 2017 and travels to Bend, Oregon where passengers will overnight in Hotels before returning on the same route on June 25, 2017.

More information, and a link to Tickets is available at www.4449.com

The #4449 is based in Portland, Oregon and is on display at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center. For more information on the center, includin photos of my previous visits, check out the MAINLINE STEAM page.
