BUSCH GARDENS RAILWAY, WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA

The Busch Gardens Railway at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Virginia is a 36" gauge railroad that operates propane-fired steam locomotives built by Crown.

The Railway opened with the park in 1975.

The Train ride is 1.5-mile loop within the park that makes stops at Scotland, New France, and Festa Italia. The scenic train ride features views of the park and the landscaping as well as the crossing over an impressive trestle.

The railroad has 3 operating steam locomotives. The two that were built for the park were custom-built to resemble colorful European Steam locomotives. While mechanically, they are the same as the standard American style Crown locomotives, these were probably the most unique locomotives Crown built.
