Six Flags and Texas Railroad

The Six Flags and Texas Railroad at Six Flags over Texas in Arlington, TX is a 36" gauge railway with historic steam locomotives in operation. The Railroad is the only original, opening day attraction left in the park which debuted in 1961.

The Railroad makes a 1-mile loop around the park making stops at "Texas Depot" and "Boomtown Depot."

Two Steam Locomotives operate at the park, both were originally built for the Enterprise Sugar Plantation in Louisiana.
They were both rebuilt by Six Flags to have a 2-4-2 wheel configuration.
#1 was originally an 0-4-4T and #2 was originally an 0-4-0T.

#1  was built by ALCO - Cooke in 1901.
#2 was built by H K Porter in 1897.
