Hello Train Chasers! Summer is just around the corner! If you've been busy like me, you don't have time for a long post so I'll get right to the good stuff... Here are some unique Summer Steam Events to put on your calendar now!

Nevada State Railroad Museum - Carson City, Nevada.
Special Event Weekends this Summer -
Memorial Day Weekend - May 27, 28, 29, 2017 and Labor Day Weekend - September 2, 3, & 4, 2017.
Locomotive "Glenbrook," a 2-6-0, wood burning 36" gauge locomotive built in 1875 will be under steam.
Baldwin 4-6-0 #25 will also be under steam and pulling the museum passenger train.
July 4th Weekend - July 1,2,3, 4, 2017.
Locomotive "Glenbrook," a 2-6-0, wood burning 36" gauge locomotive built in 1875 will be under steam.
Locomotive "Inyo" a 4-4-0, wood burning, standard gauge locomotive built in 1875 will be under steam.
Baldwin 4-6-0 #25 will also be under steam and pulling the museum passenger train. The 1910 Built McKeen Motor Car will also be operating and their will be a daily parade of trains.
Illinois Railway Museum - Union, Illinois.
July 4th Weekend - July 1, 2, 3, 4, 2017.
Traction Weekend featuring various vintage electric equipment on the mainline and trolley loop.
July 1, the Nebraska Zephyr Articulated Streamlined Set will operate.
July 2, 3, 4, the Steam Train will operate.
Labor Day Weekend - September 2, 3, 4, 2017.
Steam Operates each day and the Nebraska Zephyr Operates September 3rd & 4th.
Extended Hours allow for evening rides.
Museum Showcase Weekend - September 16 & 17, 2017.
Steam Train and Nebraska Zephyr operate each day as well as rarely operating electric equipment on the mainline and trolley loop. Many unique pieces of equipment to ride and photograph with extended hours on Saturday allowing for evening rides.
Steam Railroad Institute - Owosso, Michigan.
August 19 & 20, 2017.
Pere Marquette #1225, famous for appearing in the movie "The Polar Express" will pull excursions from the Howell Melon Festival in Howell, Michigan. Multiple trips depart each day, allowing a chance to ride and photograph.
